There are many tour companies offering excursions by jeep into the remote parts of the South Sinai desert or trips to Mt Sinai and St. Catherines Monastery. Day trips by air are possible to Cairo and Luxor, too, where you can take in the ancient monuments.
In Sharm itself there are other activities which may be of interest such as go-karting, quad-biking and horse-riding.
